If "traditional" Catholicism were to be subtracted from what we continue to call
Western Civilization, or Christendom, imagine the results? The cultural
havoc we have experienced in the Church. A great hole in our mores, in
our art and literature, religious culture, calendar, music and
architecture. Besides depriving us of our rich cultural patrimony, with
much backsliding, erring and straying like lost sheep,the result would be a loss of identity on multiple levels.
